15 January 2013: Graphene research moving abroad

In an article titled ‘Graphene research moving abroad’ the Telegraph have covered CambridgeIP research into the graphene patent landscape. The Telegraph article discusses the view that the ‘Super-material graphene was invented in Britain but research is progressing faster abroad’. In the online article consumer Technology Editor Matt Warman quotes CambridgeIP research stating “China and the Korean technology giant Samsung are now leading the way, despite Britain funding extra research by our own academics. UK businesses and universities have 54 patents, compared to 2,204 from China, 1,754 from America and 2,204 from China”. To read the full article, click here.
